4:00 PM Monday, MT

Got my surgery timing yesterday, which switched my mental focus from "how will I not be nervous getting up at the crack of dawn and scurrying to the Huntsman in the dark" to "how will I manage not to eat my hand off during the long day preceding my arrival?"

Per the stern OR nurse I spoke to yesterday to clarify: "No food or drink after midnight, no matter when in the day your surgery is".   I understand they have to have a very fool-proof policy because people can't do math and if there is something in the stomach that causes vomiting the surgery is cancelled...

But.

Sawyer said I  should be OK to wake up at 7 AM and drink a little water.

(tongue stuck-out in OR nurse's direction)

Any OR nurses out there feel free to contact us directly to scold us.

My parents arrive tomorrow to be my solidarity team (and to keep Gus from jumping/nosing/pawing as is his not so subtle way of showing affection when I arrive back home) and now they have their work cut out for them in distracting me during the day Monday.

So, if any of you were wanting to send particular energy to me, it would be between 4-8 Central Time. (This is the very wee hours in Oslo, where at least one of my healing team set an intention to meditate for me - sorry Laa. A before-bed prayer will do...)

The weekend feels very full. What all needs to be done with two boobs intact?

Seriously, I thought that yesterday.

Someone suggested some documentation of ol' lefty since I don't have full-on photos of her since I was an artist's model at 19. This should be rather hilarious, as there is only one person I would give leave to do this, and he is notorious for his photography appearing to be of a post-rapture world, where every human got raptured. If nothing else, this is probably worth the laughs it will give us.

Speaking of Sawyer, he will be writing a post to update y'all when I am through surgery, as I'll be in anesthesia haze for a bit, and probably won't really be focused on blogging.

Look for that Monday night at some point.
